There is an observation: sometimes there are topics that, despite the fact that receive a large number of negative votes, very active and on the case being discussed. Discussed and not so that all readers declare with one voice, saying what a bad topic and it serves him so many cons, but rather actively discuss the topic, earn each other's mostly pros for any meaningful comments. That is: the topic gets a large number of disadvantages, the author gets cons to abrasive, and even to karma, and a large number of commentators gets extensive and positive theme for communication.

And here arises the dilemma for the author: to save harsely and karma would cost to remove the topic from the publication. For the preservation of the spirit Habra and in order not to break off the people communicating, the topic would have to leave.

I have personally experienced such a manifestation of this phenomenon: the topic scored more than twenty negative votes, karma is a bit damaged, but! went the second day, actively discussing a topic, comments more than a hundred – reading the comments, I left the topic, to hell with them, with Peshmerga, let people communicate. I like the comments, some reasonable, some ridiculous – well, as usual, in General. But lucky me and karma have suffered slightly, but what about those who have the karma is taken away, and at the same time continue happily and actively to communicate?

I don't know how to change it, but I assume the decision in this light: the number of comments in some way affects the General evaluation of a topic, to the author who provided the theme for active communication, has not been forced by circumstances to remove the topic from the publication, and then backed into the red and lost the chance of publication.
