Starting with a prototype at the hackathon, the project is developing as fully open platform for your ideas, code and links to the best stuff.

Endless streams of information
Modern society is constantly surrounded by huge flows of information. We are in constant search for optimal ways of its perception, to "stay on top". Created many tools to help people cope with stress: Twitter, Pinterest, and today DevShelf fighting for the best methods of organizing your information.
But Twitter doesn't work well in cases when you need to find "the one article that someone wrote a month ago." Bookmarks and the list of deferred read all do not put, search engines are not doing very well with the goal of providing the best materials. Only we, the community can advise each other the best, based on personal experience, not on the opinions of the search engines.

From the community for the community
DevShelf born to be as open as possible for the community. We will gladly take your best bookmarks and links to articles of your blogs. To enrich the database, you can do pull requests directly to the repository with articles, or use the form on the website.
The project is launched in beta mode, and we still lots of ideas to improve the open platform. We welcome any comitem, as well as ideas and suggestions for development. All the tasks we describe in the open, and if you want to participate in the development, write — introduce in the know.

In the first release we have prepared a minimum set of required functionality, as well as took care of the multilingual and the ability to easily add other languages. Project international, English articles are mixed for all locales, but soon it will be possible to define filters for the search.
